Snell Advanced Media (SAM) is demonstrating 4K and 12G-SDI support across a range of products including its Kula and Kahuna production switcher range at booth 6M2-01.
“SAM continues to push the boundaries with 4K, IP, 12G-SDI and software defined solutions as is reflected across our product range,” says Stephen Wong, senior vice-president of sales, SAM.
“We are committed to delivering riskless and future-ready technology that is both flexible and agile, so it can meet our customers’ business and operational needs today, but also adapt to their future requirements. This is what we are underlining at BroadcastAsia2017.”
SAM’s Kahuna and Kula multi-format production switchers are present at the show. Kula (available as 1, 2 and 3M/E versions) can handle multiple formats — making it both future-proof and adaptable for today’s production environment.
Kahuna, on the other hand, remains SAM’s flagship medium to large production switcher with a rich set of features. Kahuna “consistently” raises the bar for multi-format operations, supporting any combination of SD, HD, 1080p (levels A & B), 12G-SDI and Quad SDI for UHD signals, eliminating the need for external conversion.
SAM is also displaying its Vega suite of routers that deliver “unbeatable functionality” at price points that suit a range of budgets; and the ICE channel-in-a-box solution and Momentum workflow and asset management technology. The company is also demonstrating its LiveTouch system, a fast editing, replay and highlights production workflow.
