Accedo launching Xtend Partner Hub to empower immersive experiences

Accedo has introduced the Xtend Partner Hub, a dedicated ecosystem designed to facilitate spatial computing deployments for video service providers. This curated network of pre-integrated partners offers the technology and expertise necessary for the delivery and monetisation of best-in-class immersive experiences.
At launch, the Xtend Partner Hub will feature a select group of partners, including Ateme, Jump Data-Driven Video, Quintar, Six Floor Solutions, SyncReality, and Tiledmedia, with each organisation offering a vital piece of the puzzle in the quest for immersive video excellence. For instance, Ateme provides video compression and delivery solutions to enhance viewership and subscription engagement, while Jump leverages big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) to deliver advanced insights and personalisation.
Accedo’s Xtend suite plays a pivotal role in this innovative initiative. This customisable, modular solution empowers video content providers, rights holders, and broadcasters to enter the world of spatial computing and experiment with engaging experiences using their existing web-based applications. Xtend enables content providers to select the add-ons they need, such as multi-camera capabilities, live statistics, or co-watching features using mixed reality (XR)-powered avatars.
It also opens up new avenues for monetisation through options like merchandising and virtual sponsorships, according to Accedo.
José Somolinos, Solutions Strategist and XR Lead, Accedo, said, “There is a growing appetite among content providers and sports bodies to experiment with creating and delivering immersive XR experiences. However, with so many providers all promising to deliver cutting-edge technology, it can be challenging for video providers to determine the right tools for their service.
“The Xtend Partner Hub is designed to give these organisations an easy and quick route to creating immersive experiences for their customers, using best-in-class technology. By bringing together content owners and technology enablers, we are able to accelerate the creation of XR content, repurposing existing video, metadata and assets into immersive interactive experiences.”
