Having worked with Alchimie since 2015, Unified Streaming’s Unified Origin webserver plug-in has enabled Alchimie to provide streaming services to its customers
Alchimie, a digital content distributor headquartered in Paris, has extended its partnership with Unified Streaming, a company that provides creation of video streaming technologies for multiple platforms and devices.
The companies have worked together since 2015. With the installation of Unified Origin, a webserver plug-in developed by Unified Streaming, Alchimie is able to offer “stable, scalable live” and on-demand streaming to all its partners who, in turn, can satisfy their customers as the final users, said Unified Streaming.
David Amiot, CTO of Alchimie, explained: “For the past two years, Unified Origin has been providing our all-in-one solution for streaming Apple HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), Microsoft Smooth Streaming (MSS), MPEG-DASH, as well as featuring content protection with in-built support for DRM PlayReady, Widevine and FairPlay.
“This experience fully convinced us that Unified Origin is the software for Alchimie.”
Alchimie has been providing its services to more than 300 partners globally, including operators from the TV and gaming, digital platforms, tech manufacturers and telecommunication sectors.
Simon Westbrock, vice-president of global sales, Unified Streaming, concluded: “The Unified approach to content delivery with efficient repurposing of video gives Alchimie a competitive edge that is as much relevant today as it will be in the future. We are proud to team up with them.”
