Bringing the best of Chinese broadcast technology to 2018 NAB Show
As part of the China (Beijing) Broadcasting Technology Innovation Pavilion, 10 Chinese companies exhibited their latest innovations at 2018 NAB Show
LAS VEGAS – Organised by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, the China (Beijing) Broadcasting Technology Innovation Pavilion made its third appearance at the NAB Show.
According to the former, 2018 NAB Show not only provided a platform for the internationalisation of Beijing’s broadcast enterprises, but also enhanced the international influence of Beijing’s broadcast technologies through showcases at the Las Vegas Convention Centre.
The companies exhibiting this year at the China (Beijing) Broadcasting Technology Innovation Pavilion include: Beijing BBEF Science and Technology, Dayang Technology Development, Beijing Hanno Semiconductor Technology, Beijing JiShu HuiTong Technology, Beijing Jetsen Technology, Beijing Yijing Technology, Beijing Novel-Super Digital TV Technology, Beijing SCV Science and Technology, Beijing Sino-Sky High-Tech, and China Television Information Technology.
The technologies and products highlighted by these companies include HN1000 Gigabit broadband access commercial chips, media convergence systems that support both HD and 4K/Ultra HD (UHD) broadcasting, the iChannel2 broadcast control system, 360-degree/3D panoramic virtual reality TV production systems, 10G FTTH IP solutions, and digital TV transmitters, among others.
Congratulating the exhibitors, Qin Xudong, deputy director of the technology department at the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, expressed the effectiveness of the NAB Show for Beijing broadcast enterprises to highlight their products and technologies, as well as expand their international presence.
Beijing accounts for almost 60% of the total number of radio, film and TV progamme production organisations and technology equipment manufacturers. These companies, said the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, have in recent years, made a number of scientific and technological innovation breakthroughs in fields such as 4K/UHD, cloud computing, big data, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), among others.
To enhance exchange and cooperation between China and countries around the world, international radio, film and TV industry associations and organisations such as IBC, Inter BEE, NAB and IABM were also invited to the China (Beijing) Broadcasting Technology Innovation Pavilion for product launches and international business exchange meetings.
