Clear-Com will be presenting FreeSpeak II IP Transceiver (IPT), a wireless transceiver based on the company’s new IP Platform solution. FreeSpeak II IPT features AES67 compatibility, signal distribution, audio routing with high audio bandwidth, and includes additional enhancements such as the support for a higher density of users per transceiver.
All transceivers are connected to an AES67 IP-router and to the Eclipse HX system fitted with Clear-Com’s E-IPA audio-and-intercom IP system card. Each E-IPA card — also native AES67 based — provides up to 64 ports of IP connections that support 64 IPTs. The IPT can be powered from a power over Ethernet (PoE) switch or local power source; direct fibre connection is also available on each IPT.
Operating at the 1.9GHz frequency range, FreeSpeak II IPT forms a wireless communication network that is only limited by the user’s local area network (LAN). Within the LAN, one or more zones of wireless connections can be created with strategically placed IPTs. FreeSpeak II wireless beltpacks are linked from IPT to IPT, without losing connection on the intercom as long as the user stays within the zone, says Clear-Com.
At booth 4Q4-01, Clear-Com is also celebrating the 50th anniversary of its founding. This anniversary, according to Clear-Com, marks an important milestone for the company as it looks back on its heritage of communications breakthroughs, and the people who contributed to its success.
