As we draw to the end of 2018 — the 50th anniversary of the founding of Clear-Com — we have enjoyed looking back on our incredible heritage of communications breakthroughs and technological advances.
One thing that remains consistent is our dedication to our customers and partners. Our global presence around the world, including China, the UK, Canada, Singapore, Dubai and Germany, allows us to be closer to our customers. We work closely with a dedicated group of channel partners who are instrumental in bringing Clear-Com products to nearly every country in the world.
Since 1968, we have maintained our ability to anticipate people’s needs and look to technology drivers to understand what will be needed in the future. We believe we will always be facilitating communication between people and enabling them to accomplish amazing things — it’s just the ways in which we connect them that are sure to continue to evolve.
Some of the technology drivers we are working with today are breathtaking in the scope and speed in which they transform the way people can communicate. We stay on top of these evolving technologies through the synergies with our parent company, HME, and an incredible research and development team stationed around the world. Their ability to collaborate and challenge each other results in some of the most innovate solutions in the industry.
One example of this is that we have been leading the way with intercom over IP for the past decade, with a breath and depth of IP capabilities for meeting simple to complex communications requirements for the widest set of intercom users. Our most recent IP innovations include the audio-over-IP (AoIP) card, E-IPA, which is a high-density connection card for the Eclipse HX digital matrix intercom family that provides 64 streams of low-latency, high audio bandwidth connections for linking existing and new IP-based Clear-Com products and other AES67 compatible products; we also introduced an IP Wireless Transceiver (IPT) for FreeSpeak II, enabling beltpacks to be addressed across a user’s LAN; and the upcoming V-Series Iris panel will provide Eclipse HX users with AES67 connections to leverage power of the E-IPA card. By adding the Agent-IC mobile device app for Android, iOS and Apple Watch, we are delivering even more ways to facilitate communications to our users.
At the core of our success is our commitment to manufacturing our products in-house, in Carlsbad, California. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility encompasses prototyping new products, manufacturing existing products, and testing equipment for compliance and IP-rating. This resource enables us to be nimble in meeting market demands, expediting orders, and ensuring complete control over our quality. By rigorously implementing the principles of lean manufacturing, we are able to quickly iterate and create impressive efficiencies in our processes throughout our business.
Fifty years is a wonderful milestone, and we’ve had a great year reflecting on our accomplishments — but we have never stopped moving forward and we are already looking forward to the next 50.
