Production switchers such as GV K-Frame X and Kahuna 6400, alongside the iTX Flex playout solution, are some of the solutions that Grass Valley will be bringing to BroadcastAsia2018
At this year’s BroadcastAsia, Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, will be demonstrating its solutions and how the newly combined portfolio with Snell Advanced Media (SAM) is enabling broadcasters, news organisations, rights holders and media service providers to meet the challenges of creating, managing and delivering compelling content in a changing media landscape.
For instance, Grass Valley will be exhibiting the new iTX Flex solution, a “true-cloud” automated playout platform designed to connect and monetise by offering cloud playout orchestration using microservices, provided as software-as-a-service (SaaS). According to Grass Valley, iTX Flex provides media companies with a simplified solution for channel playout and control, offering new business models with more streamlined operations, with the ability to address evolving business needs.
Grass Valley will also be showcasing its production switchers that provide the flexibility to work with a variety of content formats, including 4K/Ultra HD (UHD). This demonstration comprises the GV K-Frame X video production engine, the Kahuna 6400 live production switcher, and the GV Korona K-Frame V-series for flexible 12G-SDI connectivity.
Somu Patil, vice-president sales, Asia, Grass Valley, commented: “Following Belden’s acquisition of SAM, Grass Valley now offers the most comprehensive portfolio of solutions on the market. At BroadcastAsia2018, we will show how the integration of the two portfolios is driving real innovation and enabling our customers to build agile, future-proof infrastructures and workflows with zero compromise on their ability to create and deliver the best content to more viewers.”
Completing Grass Valley’s presentation at booth 4R2-01 is the GV Stratus 6.0 video production and management system. Designed to simplify workflows, GV Stratus 6.0 combines tools and customisation functionalities to enable collaboration, allowing users access to every clip on the network with the tools required to manage content.
