Creative Technology adds TSL Products’ TallyMan to production inventory

The TallyMan broadcast control system is combined with an Ultrix FR2 router in four Creative Technology’s portable production units

Creative Technology, a live events and A/V specialist, has expanded and upgraded its remote A/V services with the installation of TSL Products’ TallyMan broadcast control system. The project was tasked to ES Broadcast, a solutions provider to the broadcast industry, who deployed the TallyMan for three Creative Technology’s 4K/Ultra HD (UHD) portable production units (PPUs) and one HD 3G PPU.

Chris Williams, project director at ES Broadcast, explained: “By combining TSL’s TallyMan and a Ross Ultrix FR2 router for each PPU, we were able to deliver a highly integrated, flexible solution that is intuitive for operates to use. TallyMan has become a popular go-to solution for delivering completely customisable control systems, and it allows users to streamline complex processes down to a user-friendly touchscreen system.”

All four PPUs are equipped with a Ross Ultrix FR2 12G 4K/UHD routing platform, with full demux/mux, frame syncs, multiviewers and gear boxing. In each unit, the Ultrix router can be controlled using TSL’s TallyMan broadcast control system.

In addition to deploying the TallyMan for control, ES Broadcast also installed TSL’s MPA1 audio monitors in the PPUs for Creative Technology. The broadcast control system can be integrated with MPA1 via SNMP, and PAM-IP range via Ember+, as well as InSite management software to monitoring alarms triggers for any device within the system.

Dan Bailey, control product manager, TSL Products, concluded: “We are thrilled to be working with our partners at ES Broadcast in order to advance Creative Technology’s PPUs with the help of our TallyMan broadcast control system. No matter the complexity of the underlying infrastructure, our control solutions offer connective capabilities and simple solutions to help operators gain complete control of their systems.”
