Dejero’s Latin American partners will be using Dejero’s solutions for the coverage of a sports tournament in Russia this June
At the upcoming sports event, which will be taking place in Russia from June 14-July 15, Dejero will be working alongside its Latin American (LATAM) channel partners to support broadcasters from the region, such as Viacom and ESPN, in their coverage of the tournament.
For Dejero, the company has reported a “steady stream” of new partners joining its ranks in 2018 in the LATAM region, including Protelecom Mexico, Tekchile Chile, WatchApp Argentina and Planatel Brazil, with additional partners in Colombia and Panama coming on-board soon.
During the tournament, Dejero will team up with its LATAM partners to provide rental solutions and services, enabling them to transmit content to their viewers. Broadcasters will also be using Dejero EnGo mobile transmitters, connectivity services with local SIMs, to have access to technical support throughout the duration of the competition.
Ricardo Bevcic of WatchApp, one of Dejero’s partners in the LATAM region, commented: “It’s a privilege to support our Argentinian broadcasters with reliable connectivity as they bring live coverage of one of the most popular sporting events in the world to their viewers. Together with our innovative partner, Dejero, we are providing cellular connectivity packages with fully tested local SIMs, alongside 24/7 technical support, that simplify live transmission from different venues across Russia in a very cost-effective manner.”
Designed to be camera- or vehicle-mounted, or in a backpack, EnGo can be deployed for newsgathering, sports coverage and live event broadcasting from remote locations while in motion. Since its launch, EnGo has been used by field crews to deliver live reporting from major sports events, including the European football championships in France, the Summer Games in Rio, and most recently, the Winter Games in Pyeongchang.
