disguise’s Metaverse Labs to empower creatives to produce next big idea

Created by disguise, a provider of hardware, software and ecosystems to deliver immersive visual experiences, Metaverse Labs is a global network of labs run by creative and technical professionals
whose mission is to empower brands, creatives and technologists to deliver experiences in the metaverse.
Each lab will be part of disguise’s Metaverse Solutions division, which offers R&D, creative services and consultancy to their clients, and is supported by metaverse and virtual production experts such as Zerospace, Nowhere, Improbable, Film Soho, Super Bonfire, XR Studios, All of it Now, Zoan, Boum and Shape.
Metaverse Labs will develop new proof-of-concepts and workflows that aim to democratise and share insights, develop skills and talent for tomorrow as well as to advise, consult and design future-facing experiences so that creatives can create their next big idea.
Fernando Küfer, CEO of disguise, said: “With the metaverse continually evolving, and innovators taking giant leaps every day, soon it will become part of our reality.
“Along with our network of partners, disguise Metaverse Labs are exploring new realms of entertainment and are here to help creatives deliver the impossible in an ever-changing technology landscape.”
In the past two years, disguise’s Extended Reality (xR) workflow has powered live entertainment for music artists such as Katy Perry and Billie Eilish, film and episodic TV productions for Netflix and Amazon Prime, corporate presentations for Siemens and Verizon, and live broadcast programmes by Eurosport, MTV and ITV.
Lara Bowen, Global Head of Labs for disguise, added, “With more of us eager to live our experiences in a virtual world, there will be a seismic shift in how we communicate, interact and deliver these experiences together.
“For the disguise community, that shift in workflow means both big opportunities and a steep learning curve.”
