DVEO’s new partnership simplifies deploying next-gen video platforms

As broadcasters and video service providers modernise ageing infrastructure and seek new revenue opportunities, video technology companies DVEO and StreamVX have announced a strategic partnership aimed at simplifying the deployment and management of next-generation video delivery platforms.

The partnership combines DVEO’s hardware expertise with StreamVX’s software-defined video infrastructure solutions, creating an integrated offering that spans live headend operations, over-the-top (OTT) delivery, free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel deployment, and specialised video applications.

Under the partnership, DVEO contributes its portfolio of encoders, integrated receiver decoders, playout servers, ASI infrastructure, and managed operations services through Stream Republic by DVEO. StreamVX adds a software suite that includes transcoding, OTT delivery, digital rights management (DRM) management, dynamic ad insertion, perceptual quality optimisation, and statistical multiplexing.

Together, the companies aim to provide operators with a unified technology stack covering the entire video workflow — from signal acquisition to content distribution and monetisation — while reducing the complexity often associated with multi-vendor deployments.

The partnership will initially focus on four key use cases: turnkey on-premises OTT headends, FAST channel monetisation, hospitality IPTV deployments, and government and public-sector video networks.

For FAST channel operators, the combined solution integrates DVEO’s playout and distribution capabilities with StreamVX’s dynamic ad insertion technology, enabling monetisation across transport streams, OTT manifests, and FAST environments.

In hospitality settings, the offering brings together DVEO’s installer network and IPTV expertise with StreamVX’s multi-tenancy and channel management capabilities.

According to Wouter van Ruth, Global Partnerships & Sales at DVEO, customers have increasingly sought a software layer that complements the company’s hardware portfolio without requiring extensive integration efforts.

“Operators in North America have been asking us for a complete software layer to pair with our hardware, one they don’t have to source, integrate, and support on their own,” he said. “Together, we give operators a single project, a single support path, and a stack that covers everything from signal acquisition to monetised OTT delivery.”

Simon Karbowski, Co-Founder & CEO of StreamVX, added that the partnership aims to accelerate deployment timelines by reducing integration complexity, enabling broadcasters and operators to launch services in weeks rather than months.
