The Emerald SE IP-based KVM system empowers centralised connectivity, and is available through a software licence option
Black Box, a KVM (keyboard, video and mouse) solutions provider, has introduced the Emerald SE IP-based KVM system to the Emerald Unified KVM family. Emerald SE enables connectivity in both traditional and virtualised environments, allowing users to customise its features accordingly to their application requirements.
Available through a software licence option, some features of the solution include pixel-perfect video mode of operation that allows lossless video to be displayed; PC over IP (PCoIP) virtual machine access for connectivity between virtual machines and VMware; virtual machine sharing, which enables the sharing of the same virtual machine between multiple users with keyboard and mouse control; and bonding, which allows the creation of a group of resources to switch as one.
Additionally, Emerald SE supports use of on-site and remote servers as well as KVM connectivity through access to a virtualised machine with the same single-user interface as traditional systems. The new KVM system is compatible with other members of the Emerald family, such as Emerald 4K and future Emerald products.
Emerald SE will be on display at booth N1206 during the 2018 NAB Show New York, which will take place on October 17 and 18 at the Jacob K Javits Convention Centre.
