Experience networked A/V, broadcast 4K/UHD video at Harman centre

Themed “Engineering a Connected Enterprise”, the Harman Customer Experience Centre showcases the company’s latest innovations and technologies

“Today, we are seeing broadcast studios changing to become an experience centre. It is not just the integration of voice and video being routed, but also a combination of experience which comes through lighting and a variety of sound that is basically done in the broadcast arena,” said Ramesh Jayaraman, vice-president and general manager, Asia-Pacific, Harman Professional Solutions.

In welcoming APB to his Harman Customer Experience Centre in Singapore, he explained: “As we look at the broadcast and media marketplace moving ahead, we are beginning to see a combination of technologies.

“For instance, Harman has expanded into lighting control — in addition to our expertise in providing audio and video solutions — and this is becoming a big growth driver for us, completing our overall broadcast portfolio.

The Singapore centre, themed “Engineering a Connected Enterprise”, welcomes visitors to learn about how some of the world’s foremost venues, theatres, recording studios, commercial facilities and hospitality spaces are deploying Harman products and solutions.

Through interactive touch panels and live demonstrations, visitors can experience the latest in networked A/V, broadcast 4K/Ultra HD (UHD) video, and other audio, video and lighting technologies.

“Today’s users are looking for a simple and custom solution that empowers them to accomplish greater projects.

“In brief, it’s all about flexibility, simplicity and scalability,” said Jayaraman. “What we really want to do is to make things simple, in a sense that there is flexibility for automation, ability to scale, and to enable them to build their own broadcast solutions. This is exactly what Harman brings to the table.”
