Giving live events an enhanced touch of excitement
Designed for sports and fast-motion entertainment replay environments, Grass Valley’s LiveTouch is capable of supporting large events and multi-studio productions as well as 4K/UHD and HDR workflows

Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, will be debuting the latest version of LiveTouch, its live highlights and replay production system. Incorporating 4K/Ultra HD (UHD) slow-motion replay, direct playout and super slow-motion support, LiveTouch is further equipped with high dynamic range (HDR) support, and can be paired with the company’s LDX cameras in either remote or at-home productions.
The integrated LiveTouch HDR capability is able to manage colour mapping from any format to the production format of choice, said Grass Valley, thus removing the need for external HDR processing.
Users can also work across multiple formats.
In addition, the latest version of LiveTouch offers an advanced audio editing suite with intuitive controls for editing and playout sequences during a live event. Audio and video can be split and edited independently, to advance or delay audio in a playlist, and auxiliary audio tracks can be dropped into a LiveTouch playlist to add music or sound effects.
When working in remote or at-home production environments, LiveTouch allows operators to create, edit and playout highlights packages. Panels can be used either at the event site while the LiveTouch server remains at home, or in a production facility with the server in an engine room distances away.
