The companies will jointly demonstrate the transition to next-gen broadcast architecture and business models
At this year’s Inter BEE, Imagine Communications is partnering with four industry affiliates — IABM, Sanshin Electronics Company, Digital Processing Systems Japan, and Village Island — for the showcase of its solutions and innovations.
In the IABM Pavilion at booth 8103, visitors can check out Imagine’s software-defined solutions that are capable of enabling media companies to leverage their existing infrastructure and workflow in a hybrid environment while transitioning to an all-IP future.
Highlights include the Selenio Network Processor (SNP), an IP-capable processing platform that allows media companies to simplify operations and reduce costs associated with supporting SDI and hybrid SDI-IP workflows in their studio and mobile facilities. When paired with the Magellan SDN Orchestrator software control, the SNP will showcase how users can manage and control their legacy infrastructure while incorporating next-gen technologies, switching and interworking between HD, 4K/Ultra HD (UHD), and uncompressed SMPTE ST 2110 streams.
Sanshin Electronics Company and Digital Processing Systems are Imagine’s local technical partners, who are exhibiting at booth 3501 and booth 2114 respectively. The highlights at Sanshin Electronics Company’s booth include the showcase of the Versio microservices-based platform, which enables media companies to create a custom playout solution.
And at the Digital Processing Systems’ booth, Imagine is displaying the SelenioFlex File media processing solution. Built on Imagine’s Zenium microservices architecture, SelenioFlex File is a software engine that provides users the flexibility to customise their system architectures while managing the dynamic environment of run-time, decision-based media processing workflows.
Exhibiting at booth 7607, Village Island is Imagine’s local reseller, which is demonstrating advanced ad tech solutions. Designed for the delivery of live over-the-top (OTT) services based on linear broadcasts, Imagine’s dynamic ad insertion solutions enable media companies to individually target advertising and content replacement in linear OTT and video-on-demand (VoD) services, while its HTTP-to-UDP gateway extends DAI to allow regional delivery of traditional linear broadcasting using Internet infrastructure.
Inter BEE 2018 is taking place from today till November 16 at the Makuhari Messe convention centre in Tokyo.
