Imagine highlighting software-based purpose-led innovations @ NAB 2026
At NAB 2026, Imagine Communications will be highlighting its latest innovations across the Make & Monetise portfolio, showcasing software-based solutions designed to help media organisations modernise operations, streamline workflows, and strengthen business needs.
Imagine Communications is placing particular emphasis on IP and cloud-enabled workflows, multi-site media operations, and next-generation advertising, positioning its technology as an answer to the challenges facing broadcasters in an era of fragmented audiences and hybrid production environments.
Among the key highlights is Prismon, the newest addition to Imagine’s multiviewer portfolio. Prismon combines master control and cloud capabilities with the ultra-low-latency performance of the established SNP Multiviewer, creating one of the most comprehensive IP and IP-hybrid multiviewer solutions available.
Deployable on-premise or in the cloud, the software-defined platform consolidates SDI, ST2110, ST2022-6, and over-the-top (OTT) signals into a unified monitoring environment. Its scalable, distributed architecture can support thousands of signals across dozens of mosaics, while a centralised control interface allows operators to manage multiple displays with ease, enhancing efficiency across production, playout, distribution, and streaming operations.
Expanding the Selenio Network Processor (SNP) line, SNP-XS brings high-performance processing to space-constrained environments without compromise. Compact and ultra-quiet, SNP-XS supports SMPTE ST2110 and ST2022-6 IP standards while remaining fully interoperable with SDI workflows. Capable of running all 16 SNP applications — including 4K/Ultra HD (UHD) and high dynamic range (HDR) conversion, multiviewers, master control, and JPEG XS — it is suited for edge deployments, mobile production, facility expansions, and remote routing endpoints.
Imagine is also spotlighting its XVR playout engines, which offer flexible, scalable solutions for ingest, playout, and unified origination. Built on modern Linux and data centre technologies, XVR engines support SDI, 12G SDI, ST2110, TS, and SRT, and natively handle formats such as XAVC, ProRes, and DNxHD, eliminating the need for costly transcoding.
With usage-based subscription models and integration with Intel Ethernet E810 adapters, XVR enables media organisations to efficiently grow channel counts without increasing operational complexity or cost.
