Imagine to demo flexible broadcast architectures & business models

Imagine Communications is celebrating the 2023 NAB Show Centennial by showcasing an extensive range of solutions that enable customers to flexibly mix best-in-class SDI and ST 2110 on-premise solutions, benefit from IP connectivity and hybrid models, and migrate to the cloud at a pace that suits their business.

Among the infrastructure solutions on display will be the Selenio Network Processor (SNP), a video processing and routing system that supports a wide range of formats, from SDI to IP, HD to 4K/Ultra HD (UHD), standard dynamic range (SDR) to high dynamic range (HDR), and on-premises to the cloud.

The SNP now features JPEG XS support, which enables high-quality, low-latency connectivity for remote production workflows and ground-to-cloud links. It can be paired with Imagine’s Magellan Control System to assist users in navigating any technology transition.

Steve Reynolds, President of Imagine Communications, said, “At NAB, our key focus will be engaging with customers to explore solutions and strategies that enable them to personalise the path and pace of their transitions to more responsive, flexible architectures and business models.”

For playout, Imagine offers channel origination technology to support disaster recovery, emerging services such pop-up or free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels, and 24/7 operations. Visitors to booth W2775 can also see live demonstrations of the Aviator platform, a cloud-native platform that allows media organisations to plan, create, and monetise premium-quality ad-supported linear and connected TV (CTV) content from a single, unified solution.

In addition, GamePlan, a dynamic ad placement engine and yield optimiser for linear TV, will also be highlighted, alongside the SureFire video ad server, which provides linear-like control and brand protection on ad-based CTV and advertising video-on-demand (AVoD) streaming services.

Reynolds said, “We build open, standards-based systems and work with the right partners around the industry to enable systems that benefit our customers, who are making important decisions about where their business is heading over the next few years.”
