The church has chosen to install the Artist, Bolero and MediorNet systems to support signal distribution between two of its worship facilities
Lighthouse Evangelism, one of the houses of worship in Singapore, has installed solutions from Riedel Communications as part of a technical refurbishment of its two worship facilities — Lighthouse Woodlands and Lighthouse Tampines. It includes the installation of Riedel’s Artist and Bolero intercom systems, alongside the MediorNet media distribution network, to provide a complete signal distribution and routing solution within and between the two facilities.
Kevin Yap, technical manager at Lighthouse, explained: “We first approached the Riedel team to understand how their Artist and Bolero intercoms could be useful at our sites. During our discussions, it became apparent that an integrated solution using Riedel’s intercom systems — SmartPanels, and MediorNet MicroN and Compact — was going to be the most comprehensive workflow.”
The deployment of the MediorNet system has enabled the Lighthouse team to simplify the management of audio and distribution within and between the worship venues and their classroom areas, while maintaining signal quality across the entire signal path. The routing system covers several floors of each worship site, and leverages fibre as a signal-transport solution.
For ease of identification, all input and output connection points are user-definable in the MediorNet control software. Moreover, built-in features such as audio embedders and de-embedders, frame synchronisers, and test pattern generators have negated the need for extra external hardware, said Riedel.
Additionally, the Artist wired intercom platform and Bolero wireless intercom system provide operators with “crystal clear” audio and flexibility in communications.
“MediorNet has given us an amazing amount of flexibility, and our users have had a great experience working with Bolero,” Yap added. “We are thankful for the system consulting and support that Riedel provided, and I am pleased to have made the right decision in engaging Riedel.”
