Lynx Technik’s greenMachine titan is an audio and video processing appliance that is able to process up to four 3G-SDI signals or a single 4K/UHD SDI signal.
To support broadcasters transitioning to 4K/UHD and eventually 8K, Lynx Technik will showcase its yellobrik products and greenMachine titan
With Japan expected to broadcast the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Games in 8K, several broadcast manufacturers have been developing solutions to support broadcasters migrating to 4K/Ultra HD (UHD) and 8K.
One such company is Lynx Technik, who will be demonstrating its greenMachine titan at the upcoming Inter BEE 2017.
Designed as an audio and video processing appliance, the greenMachine titan platform is able to provide processing of up to four 3G-SDI signals or a single 4K/UHD-SDI signal. With greenMachine titan, users are able to convert signals between single link and quad link 12G-SDI by downloading greenMachine APPs from the greenStore.
Sebastian Schaffrath, chief technology innovation officer (CTIO) of Lynx Technik will also be at Inter BEE 2017 to discuss the 4K/UHD and 8K production requirements for software-based processing applications.
He said: “With 4K/UHD and 8K being major technology pillars for the Japan broadcast market, our development of new products gives broadcasters the tools to efficiently and effectively migrate from HD to 4K/UHD, and eventually 8K.”
Alongside greenMachine titan, Lynx Technik will also showcase its yellobrik line of 12G and 4K/UHD fibre solutions for transmitting and receiving of 4K/UHD signals over fibre up to 20km. The yellobrik family consists a range of solutions including fibre receivers, transmitters and transceivers, as well as 4K/UHD fibre transmission kits.
Lynx Technik will be exhibiting alongside its Japan-based partner Gansui at booth 4605 during Inter BEE 2017, which will be held from November 15-17 at the Makuhari Messe Convention Centre in Chiba, Japan.
