Lynx Technik debuts bi-directional 12G single to quad-link converter

Lynx Technik, a provider of modular signal processing interfaces, has announced a new yellobrik, the CQS 1462, a bi-directional single-link/quad-link converter.
The CQS 1462 replaces the popular CQS 1441 yellobrik and is the perfect bridge between single link 12G SDI and quad 3G SDI signals, according to Lynx Technik. Typical applications include the conversion between legacy quad 3G 4K transport systems (SQD or 2SI) into single link 12G SDI signals.
Five conversion modes are supported:
- Single 12G-SDI to Quad 3G-SDI Level A
- Single 6G-SDI to Quad 1.5G-SDI
- Quad 3G-SDI Level A to Single 12G-SDI
- Quad 1.5G-SDI to Single 6G-SDI
- Distribution Amplifier mode (1×4) 12G, 6G, 3G, 1.5G
This compact yellobrik includes local controls directly on the module itself, which removes the need for a PC to make basic settings. However, it is also fully compatible with the intuitive and user-friendly yelloGUI and LynxCentraal software.
For larger and more integrated system solutions, the new CQS 1462 yellobrik can be rack mounted in the RFR 1000-1 or the new RFR 1200 rack frames. Adding the RCT 1012 Rack Controller connected to a network allows the RCT 1012 to automatically discover the connected yellowbricks and display them in the Lynx Central control software.
Check out Lynx Technik’s yellobriks, including the new CQS1462, at booth 10.A10 at IBC 2023, which is taking place from 15 to 18 September at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre.
