Magna-ficient IPconneX bring sports, live event productions to next level

At the Content Live technology show for sportscasting, newscasting and live event held from November 15-16 in Sydney, Australia, systems integrator Magna Systems highlighted its latest innovations in sports and live event productions.
These include the new IPconneX contribution, distribution and delivery solution, an end-to-end, low latency acquisition to delivery solution with reduced dependency on hardware.
IPconneX leverages award-winning technologies from Magna’s partners and brings together Magna’s expertise in encoding, IP streaming, monitoring and cloud distribution. This, in turn, enables professional broadcast companies including TV broadcasters, TV operators, teleports and content providers to broadcast live with confidence.
Matthew Clemesha, CEO of Magna Systems & Engineering group, said, “The solutions we will be demonstrating at Content LiVE really are at the cutting-edge of sports and live event production. It’s these solutions that will help broadcasters and content creators take their productions and production values to the next level.”
Magna also demonstrated a full Zero Density virtual studio and live green screen production set-up and demonstration, which used the latest Panasonic pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera inside a 3D virtual environment to showcase a complete virtual studio production.
Other highlights include the Chyron LIVE cloud-based production platform featuring its latest AI component. This allows the creation of a control room in the cloud that handles multi-camera live remote production, computer graphics, replays and slo-mo, all specifically aimed at content creators, tier 2 sports and college sports.
