NAB returns to Las Vegas after two-year hiatus

After an enforced two-year hiatus, it has been announced that the NAB Show will return to the Las Vegas Convention Centre from October 10 –13, 2021.

“This October, let’s come together to gain unparalleled access to critical information, inspiration and solutions,” says NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith, who will deliver a State of the Broadcast Industry address at the opening of the show..

“Our last Show, in 2019, had 103,000 attendees from more than 160 countries and 1,700+ exhibitors. In 2021, we are excited to bring several popular events under the NAB Show umbrella, offering a unique experience that is both familiar and new at the most comprehensive convention of its kind.”

Several designated areas will bring together exhibitor communities to provide cross-aisle synergies and enhance visitors’ experience.

There are a number of pavilion theatres featuring sessions by subject matter experts and industry leaders – with self-explanatory names like the Advanced Advertising pavilion, Cine Central (the place to discover, learn and socialise), Connected Media IP (multiscreen delivery, discovery and engagement), Future of Delivery, Futures Park, IP Showcase Real-time Media, Podcasting Pavilion, Start-Up Loft and The Streaming Experience.

Smith claims that at least 75% of past attendees are planning on attending this year’s NAB Show, which, he claims, “is the ultimate marketplace for solutions that transcend traditional broadcasting and embrace content delivery to new screens in new ways.

“If you’re seeking to create superior audio and visual experiences that attract listeners and viewers in large numbers for greater reach, then the NAB Show is for you,” concludes Smith.
