The core content playout system is improved by the added UHD capabilities. Other new features include a streaming input that supports HTTP, HTTP Secure, UDP, RTMP, MMS, MMSH and YouTube, which allow broadcaster to stream web content with ease. Moreover, multi-channel ad insertion systems, clip trimmer and audio level control are added to help broadcasters gain full control of the content playout.
The box is designed for 24/7 remote or manual operation, including the ability to handle live-to-air throughput.
“The upgraded system includes two HD Channel-in-a-Box systems, each with SafeBox Neo configured as main and backup,” said PlayBox Neo’s Thailand branch director, Nut Deesamer. “These have integral encoders allowing direct export in XDCAM-MXF file format.”
Safebox Neo can copy remote content to local playout folders for safe transmission. With a new graphic interface, the speed of moving primary or copied content to playout and central storage will be significantly faster.
The box is also able to implement new workflow routine to prevent content from being overwritten. To save digital space and ensure a smooth playout, expired schedule content can be automatically deleted or moved to a pre-set folder for manual deletion and archiving.
Mono Plus looks to provide a wide range of UHD content 24/7 via cable, terrestrial satellite and IPTV networks with the enhanced Playbox Neo. Its alternative content includes both Thai and foreign movies, variety shows and live sports such as basketball, sepak takraw(kick volleyball) and online game competitions.
