Phabrix enhances monitoring efficiency in 4K/UHD and IP workflows

The test and measurement solutions provider will be demonstrating its Sx portable analyser/generator and Qx 12G media analysis tool at Inter BEE 2017

To bring together hybrid IP/SDI test and measurement tools required for transitioning to the “next generation” of media formats, Phabrix developed the Qx Series media analysis tool that features IP, 4K/UHD and high dynamic range (HDR) generation, analysis and monitoring functionalities.

For instance, its Qx 12G provides IP, 4K/UHD and HDR/WCG (wide colour gamut) generation, analysis and video/audio monitoring. The Qx 12G is also integrated with an IP toolset that includes a decapsulator with packet interval timing (PIT) analysis for network traffic monitoring, as well as an IP encapsulator and packet profile generator for testing of video networks.

With Qx 12G, operators are able to analyse video network traffics running over the SMPTE (Society of Motion Pictures and Television Engineers) ST 2022-6 and SMPTE ST 2110 specifications to determine the cause of problems, such as packet congestion, packet loss and jitter.

For 4K/UHD testing, Qx 12G also offers 12G-SDI eye and jitter analysis, with RTE (real-time eye) technology that is capable of highlighting SMPTE compliance issues. Additional capabilities include 32-channel audio generation/embedding and test automation.

This month, Phabrix will be bringing the Qx 12G to Inter BEE 2017. Besides Qx 12G, the company will also be showcasing its Sx TAG portable analyser/generator.

The Sx TAG features SMPTE ST 2022-6 and SMPTE ST 2110 decapsulation and encapsulation capabilities, in addition to 3G/HD/SD-SDI, optical SDI, HDMI and analogue. Designed for compliance testing, the Sx TAG can also be deployed in remote locations with monitoring over a network.

The Sx TAG toolset includes a multi-format waveform and vectorscope. Operators are able to conduct video monitoring using a built-in display with 16-channel audio monitoring.

At Inter BEE 2017, Phabrix will be exhibiting across four booths at booth 3311 with Ideal Systems, booth 5208 with Musashi, booth 2202 with Itochu, and booth 8401 with Paltek.

Inter BEE 2017 will be held from November 15-17 at the Makuhari Messe convention centre in Chiba, Japan.
