PikoTV partners MwareTV to offer complete live TV streaming solution

MwareTV, a cloud-based multi-tenant TV platform provider in The Netherland, has formed a partnership with PikoTV of Turkey to offer a complete, cloud-hosted service to deliver and manage a live TV channel offering that is available across multiple end-user devices.

PikoTV specialises in broadcast headend solutions for streaming services and offers Tier-1 service providers with a wide range of software solutions for key streaming requirements including encoders, transcoders, and packagers. It also provides video broadcasting solutions to telecom companies, internet service providers, satellite and cable network owners, TV stations and over-the-top (OTT) platforms.

MwareTV provides a turnkey managed IPTV service and a complete TV management system (TVMS) to run a full-scale IPTV service, with all the control available via an intuitive web browser interface. It also provides the ability to quickly brand and tailor the subscriber experience, with white label apps for iOS, Android, Apple TV, FireTV, Roku, and Samsung as well as LG smart TVs.

The partnership between the companies provides a complete end-to-end solution which runs entirely in the cloud, minimising start-up costs and ensures operating expenditure is tied directly to revenues.

Sander Kerstens, CEO of Mware TV, explained, “We first met PikoTV at NAB in 2022 [and] very quickly saw that we could combine PikoTV’s transcoding solutions and MwareTV’s IPTV OTT middleware that PikoTV needed for their many clients. Since then, we have worked closely together to ensure a seamless integration of our systems.”

Ali Kizil, CEO of PikoTV, added, “We are excited to be able to offer MwareTV to our customers. They share the same approach that we do, aiming for simplicity in implementation and operation, full scalability to meet the users’ needs precisely, and of course ensuring that they remain in control of their budgets, with costs tracking the number of subscribers and therefore users.”
