PlayBox Neo helps AIS Play kick off football matches direct to Thai fans

PlayBox Neo has provided MIMO Tech with a brand-new major installation to extend its playout capabilities on AIS Play, a streaming and entertainment platform.

MIMO Tech is a subsidiary member of Advanced Info Service (AIS), and a key IT operator for AIS features that are being deployed in Thailand’s leading video streaming and other sports content providers.

To enhance its delivery of Thai League football, PlayBox Neo has now doubled the AIS network’s capacity from three to six channels, transmitted in HD via streaming platforms AIS PLAY on set-top box (STB), internet, or smartphone. This is supported by six PlayBox Neo Channel-in-a-Box systems for playout and CG with automation, along with the PlayBox Neo Multi Playout Manager (MPM).

This significant new investment brings Thai football directly to local fans, allowing them to follow the excitement of game highlights and full matches through various media such as tablets, smartphones, and smart TVs, over streaming platform AIS PLAY.

This dynamic move strengthens AIS’s role as a central sports and entertainment hub, now covering world-class sports including the NBA, NFL, PGA, LPGA, DP World Tour, ATP and other global sports tournaments.
