Riedel strengthens APAC presence with 24/7 Kuala Lumpur office

As workflows in APAC continue to shift towards IP, cloud, and software-driven solutions, Riedel Communications is rendering timely and expert assistance to broadcasters and production companies from their new office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Established earlier this year, the new office operates on a 24/7 basis with a dedicated team of 12 locally recruited software and IT engineers, and is led by Service & Support Manager Mustapha.

Craig Thompson, Executive Director Customer Success, Riedel Communications, told APB+’s Shaun Lim, “The Kuala Lumpur office represents a significant enhancement to our support infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region, and will provide continuous specialist support for the deployment, maintenance, and optimisation of Riedel’s solutions in complex IT environments.”

This includes initial setups for Riedel products like the Virtual Smart Panel (VSP), STAGE software platform, and SAME Smart Audio & Mixing Engine, as well as ongoing technical guidance for future software-focused innovations.

Thompson added, “The proximity to APAC customers allows for faster response times, deeper understanding of regional needs, and seamless integration of our evolving portfolio, ultimately helping clients achieve more efficient, scalable media workflows.”

In addition to delivering top-tier technical support, the Kuala Lumpur office will also serve as a hub for building stronger relationships and driving innovation with local partners and customers.

Through joint-training programmes, customised solution workshops, and co-development initiatives tailored to live events and broadcast applications, it will also enable closer collaboration with local partners and customers looking to accelerate adoption of Riedel’s platforms across live events and broadcast applications.

“By leveraging Malaysia’s exceptional talent pool and robust IT skills, we’re positioned to accelerate the adoption of Riedel’s platforms, fostering a collaborative ecosystem that empowers customers to innovate and scale their operations more effectively across the APAC market,” Thompson concluded.
