Ross Video equips RTV Noord’s new HD gallery

The Groningen-based broadcaster has upgraded its studio gallery to HD with Carbonite Black Plus switcher and NK router from Ross Video

As the regional broadcaster in Groningen, The Netherlands, RTV Noord has been providing news and information programming daily from its studios in MediaCentrale. The station has recently upgraded its studio gallery to HD, and has installed Ross Video’s Carbonite Black Plus switcher and NK series routing system as part of its equipment upgrade.

Fitted with 36 inputs and 25 outputs, the Carbonite Black switcher features multiviewers, MiniME, colour correction, and XPression graphics. Coupled with an NK 64×64 router, users are able to configure and control both switcher and router via the Ross DashBoard control interface.

As an existing user of Ross Video’s XPression 3D graphics platform, Jeroen Mennema, head for media facilities and IT, RTV Noord, said: “In renewing our gallery for a new look and HD, we were impressed at the number of options the Ross Carbonite range offered us. With the assistance from Ross’ Dutch partner, Sealander Visions, we were able to find a suitable configuration that met our needs.

“Reliability is key in making any choice of new equipment, and the Ross reputation was certainly a factor in our decision to install the Carbonite Black and NK router in our facility.”
