Ross Video introduces new workflow automation bundle

New solution is bundled with OverDrive Express and Graphite, enabling users to deliver automation benefits to audiences

To enhance production efficiency for smaller productions, Ross Video has introduced a new solution bundle that combines OverDrive Express with its Graphite integrated production solution.

Launched in 2017, Graphite is an integrated production solution that combines Carbonite production switcher and XPression graphics, two channels of clip server and a new 28-channel RAVE audio engine. Besides offering reliability, Ross Video added that the Carbonite switcher functions are built on a separate PCIe card, and can be directly powered by the system. This, according to Ross Video, allows the system to be immune to any possible computer sub-system reboots, crashes or updates.

As for OverDrive Express, the production automation solution provides both broadcasters and production houses with operational benefits that come from automation, with demonstrable improvements in “consistency and quality”.

Mike Paquin, marketing product manager for control and automation, Ross Video, said: “Graphite is a powerful yet compact product; we knew it would be popular with smaller broadcasters and content creators, but we’ve also seen some of our larger customers using it in their more modest regional facilities.

“OverDrive Express conclusively shows that automation can save these same customers time and money, so it makes a lot of sense to pull these two solutions together to create something even more compelling.”

Ross Video will be demonstrating the new solution bundle at booth M14 during BVE2018, which will be held from February 27-March 1 at the ExCel London exhibition and convention centre.
