Setplex’s AI Insider easier to turn video data into actionable insights

Setplex has introduced AI Insider, a new AI-powered agent built directly into the analytics layer of its Zapflex video service platform.
Using natural language, AI Insider enables operators, broadcasters, and media owners to explore real-time data on service quality, content performance, and audience activity, receiving relevant metrics, charts, and visual answers in seconds. By making analytics easier to access, AI Insider helps operators respond more quickly to changes in service performance and viewer behaviour.
Lionel Dreshaj, Co-Founder & CEO, Setplex, said, “Operators are surrounded by data, but the answers they need are not always available on a pre-defined dashboard.
“AI Insider is built directly into our analytics and monitoring layer, not added as a separate tool. It is the latest extension of our broader approach to embedding AI throughout every part of Zapflex to make video services smarter, more efficient, and easier to operate.
“Operators can ask questions in plain language, explore the results, and move from data to action faster — helping them improve service quality, strengthen viewer engagement, and uncover new monetisation opportunities.”
According to Setplex, Zapflex is one of the only complete video service platforms to include a built-in, AI-driven analytics layer. Traditional analytics dashboards provide pre-defined metrics, reports, and visualisations, but operators frequently need answers tied to a specific question or business context.
Obtaining those answers can require a ticket request, a data export, or specialised query skills. AI Insider gives operators a simple way to explore the information already available within Zapflex, helping them identify trends, anomalies, and meaningful changes.
AI Insider maintains the context of an ongoing conversation, allowing users to begin with a broad question and refine it through follow-up prompts. Through an AI Smart Chip, it creates intelligent starting points based on what a user is actively asking.
Rather than replaying query history, Smart Chip recommends new avenues of analysis, such as relevant drilldowns, comparisons with other periods, or adjacent metrics.
These one-tap suggestions help users see what changed and what matters, even when they do not yet know the next question to ask.
