Sony unveils Unforgettable Moment Video Content contest

When Sony sneezes, the broadcast world catches a cold, it has been said. All stakeholders in the broadcast industry keep a sharp lookout for the new products that the Japanese broadcast giant unveils.

This year at BroadcastAsia, Sony (booths 4L5-03, 4N4-01, and meeting room 323) is showcasing its latest line-up of innovative solutions that redefines reality, reiterating Sony as the driving force behind media operators and content creatives, inspiring and enabling them as well as enhancing their storytelling capabilities
Empowering customers in Asia-Pacific with solutions that cater to their needs and budgets, Sony provides visitors to their booths with a wide array of products and technologies which supports the creation of valued and engaging assets alongside workflow efficiency, driving flexibility and enriching collaboration.
The 4K and 8K cameras will be on display, as will be high dynamic range (HDR), IP and more.
Among the multiple key product and solution highlights, Sony has announced that its palm-sized 4K HDR professional camcorders, HXR-NX80 and PXW-Z90, will receive additional workflow flexibility via a free firmware upgrade.
Introducing a new proposition for users to streamline the process of acquiring live content, the camcorders will be enhanced with Simple Live Streaming, providing opportunities for content creators to shoot wherever and however they want.
At the show, Professional Solutions Company (PSAP) also announced the launch of Sony’s Unforgettable Moment Video Content 2019, a short-film competition that invites content creators from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, to express their world of emotions, through the power of creativity and technology.
Open to everyday storytellers, the contest specifies that the video must be shot with a camcorder, any brand or make, and should be between three and five minutes in length.
