Square Box Systems equips flagship MAM solution with AI integration

Headlining Square Box Systems’ showcase at BroadcastAsia2018 is the company’s flagship CatDV media asset management (MAM) system. The demonstration of CatDV will focus on five key areas: artificial intelligence (AI) integrations for advanced content analysis, customisation and extensibility, expanded support for creative workflows, support for cloud and hybrid deployments, and new capabilities for managing sports assets.
Square Box Systems’ CatDV Pegasus Server enables Google-style searches across assets, and includes support for Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases. The latest version of the Pegasus Server includes content analysis capabilities, enabled by integrations with AI technologies for speech recognition and image analysis from vendors such as Google and Azure.
In empowering creative workflows, the integration of Adobe Creative Cloud within CatDV allows the system to feature advanced Adobe panel that can operate in Adobe Premier Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Furthermore, CatDV is compatible with Avid Media Composer workflows.
Through features such as enhanced JavaScript support and a new user interface toolkit, CatDV is able to offer more customisation options for MAM workflows. Particularly, the user interface toolkit enables users to build new user experiences for every CatDV component.
In the demonstration of cloud and hybrid deployment options, CatDV offers extended support for Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 archive, including key management service (KMS) encryption and Glacier support with configurable expedited restores. The MAM solution is also equipped with AWS deployment template with proxy playback from S3. Additional enhancements include integration with Media Silo and support for Backblaze B2 archive.
For sports deployments, capabilities such as button-based logging search options have made CatDV the choice for more than 50 sports team worldwide, says Square Box Systems, who will be exhibiting with FocalPoint Server at booth 6J3-07.
