Universal Tennis selects M2A CONNECT to optimise its live match feeds

Universal Tennis, the owner and organising body of the UTR Pro Tennis Tour (PTT), has selected M2A Media’s live IP transport product, M2A CONNECT, to optimise and automate the transportation of its live match feeds. M2A Media, a cloud-based live video solutions provider, will help manage the transport of live feeds to third-party service providers, partners, and affiliates.

The deployment of M2A CONNECT will support Universal Tennis to reach a larger global audience and elevate the UTR Pro Tennis Tour on Amazon Prime globally.

Kelly Forese, President of Universal Tennis, said, “M2A CONNECT is providing an effective and flexible solution for delivering our sports content at scale over the cloud with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

“In particular, the ease with which M2A CONNECT can be integrated and their professional services during the implementation were strengths for this project.”

Universal Tennis chose M2A CONNECT due to its speed and M2A Media’s advanced expertise in automation and orchestration of AWS Media Services and AWS Cloud. M2A CONNECT also enables easy integration with other partners of Universal Tennis.

M2A CONNECT syndicates live match feeds through progressive cloud services, enabling a HD content distribution service to manage Universal Tennis’ B2B IP transport streams using AWS Elemental MediaConnect and the AWS global network topology.

Videon, a provider of edge computing solutions for video, enabled the hybrid-cloud deployment with the Videon Compute Platform, providing on-premises automation, SCTE-35 ad marker insertion, monitoring, and remote cloud control from M2A CONNECT.

Matt Hughes, Chief Commercial Officer, M2A Media, said, “The deployment at Universal Tennis is another use case that demonstrates how leading global brands are benefiting from effective hybrid-cloud solutions.”
