Based in Finland, Valossa is a solutions provider for AI-based video recognition technology, and has partnered Accurate Player to enhance metadata extraction during post production.
Combining Valossa’s AI technology with Accurate Player’s HTML5 QC player, operators will be able to better manage post-production workflows and resources
Valossa, a solutions provider for artificial intelligence (AI)-based video recognition technology, and Accurate Player, a HTML5 QC player designed for post-production workflows, have entered into a sales and technology partnership.
Under this partnership, Valossa will integrate its video AI technology with the Accurate Player, thus enabling the player to visualise Valossa’s metadata extraction. The combined solution, according to the companies, will also enable media companies to “automate inappropriate content recognition down to a frame-accurate level”.
Describing the integration as a “powerful bundled solution” for the media industry, Mika Rautiainen, founder and CEO of Valossa, explained: “We see customers with increasing demand for video search and sophisticated explicit content recognition, and with Accurate Player’s workflow solutions, we can deliver a comprehensive quality monitoring product to the broadcasting industry.”
In addition, rich metadata will facilitate search and retrieval of clips from video footages for re-purposing. The AI-based video tools will also allow media companies to manage their resources and workflows at scale.
Jonas Sandberg, CEO for Accurate Player, concluded: “Our ability to meet individual customer and market needs makes our solution stand out from the others. The partnership with Valossa is a good indication of how our respective expertise can combine two distribution companies.”
