Vitec Group’s equipment complete filmmakers’ shooting essentials

Litepanels, a division of The Vitec Group, will be presenting Gemini, a 2×1 soft panel. Equipped with a new firmware upgrade, Gemini provides a variety of cinematic effects such as emergency lights, fire, TV and hue bursts that are customisable and can be saved in pre-sets.
According to Litepanels, Gemini eliminates the need for colour correction by offering full-spectrum white light that is ideal for lighting talent and rendering colour. Lighting professionals, the company added, can “go bold” by lighting with any colour in the 360° colour wheel and popular gels within Gemini’s colour modes.
The soft panel is integrated with the Anton/Bauer Cine VCLX battery, and allows users to operate every function of Gemini with its intuitive on-board controls and user interface with multiple control options.
Alongside Gemini, Litepanels will also be displaying the Astra family of LED panels. The new Astra 3X and 6X — available in both daylight or bi-colour models — feature a 50% increase in output, making them three and six times brighter than the original Astra. The Astra Soft Bi-Colour provides diffused lighting for “soft, wraparound” light quality; and the Astra Bi-Focus is the newest addition to the Astra family, giving users the ability to adjust from a 48° flood to a 15° concentration of light with the turn of a dial.
Apart from lightings, Vitec Group’s Sachtler and Vinten will be showcasing flowtech technology with the flowtech 75 tripod, which is compatible with all major 75mm fluid heads. flowtech offers a set of two-stage legs with a mid-level spreader, rubber feet and a payload capacity of 20kg. The quick-release brakes enable legs to be deployed simultaneously and adjusted automatically to the ground’s surface, saving operators from bending over and manually adjusting multiple brakes on each leg.
