Zixi paves way to cut compute costs, carbon footprint and up revenue
At the 2023 NAB Show, Zixi will be demonstrating a range of new product updates and live video delivery performance running over the Zixi Enabled Network, which currently consists of over 1,000 media companies and 400 technology partners globally exchanging live video, and accelerating new content acquisition, business models, and opportunities to reduce cost and generate revenue.
Zixi will also highlight new and existing capabilities of its Software-Defined Video Platform (SDVP), including the scale and efficiency of Zixi Broadcaster v17. With improved processing capacity reportedly requiring 80% less compute than other industry options, Zixi Broadcaster offers cost reduction with up to 50% savings in egress cost for the same stream on other platforms.
It can also support deployments on ARM-based instances with significant savings on compute costs, reduced carbon footprint, and improved resource utilisation and updated architecture yield up to 200% throughput increase to 1Gbps per core, according to Zixi.
Gordon Brooks, Executive Chairman & CEO of Zixi, said, “We are very excited to demonstrate the incredible improvements in throughput and computing that make Zixi the most sustainable and cost-effective platform available.
“That, along with the flexibility of the SDVP, gives the thousands of media customers and partners of the Zixi Enabled Network fantastic opportunities to develop new business models and revenue streams.”To find out how to reduce compute costs, visit booth W3301 at the 2023 NAB Show, which is taking place from April 16-19 at the Las Vegas Convention Centre.
