Arkona’s BLADE//planner will demo its intuitive visual interface at IBC 2026

Arkona Technologies, a provider of IP core infrastructure solutions for professional broadcast, will bring its BLADE//planner to IBC2026 for a European debut.

As broadcasters continue to embrace increasingly sophisticated IP-based infrastructures, configuring processing resources has become both more powerful and more complex. BLADE//planner addresses this challenge by introducing a graphical configuration environment that transforms the way engineers design, configure and deploy processing workflows.

BLADE//planner enables offline configuration of complete system architectures through an intuitive visual interface that provides a comprehensive overview of processing flows and resource allocation.

Rather than navigating extensive parameter lists, users can simply select the services they require — including routing, colour correction, audio processing and frame synchronisation — and place them where they are needed within the workflow. By abstracting technical complexity, users can focus on operational objectives while still benefiting from the full capabilities of the BLADE//runner platform.

For advanced users, however, nothing has been taken away. BLADE//planner continues to provide access to more than one million controllable parameters, enabling automation at scale while retaining the flexibility to configure individual BLADE//runner resources whenever required.

Built on a structured architecture with an open API, the platform integrates with existing third-party control systems while also allowing broadcasters to develop custom applications or take full advantage of Arkona’s native graphical environment.
